If you are terrific with other girls, keep it to yourself. Your date won’t be interested.

Where a man rejects love gradually, women think nothing of rejecting it suddenly. She may pretend she hates to break a man’s heart, but secretly she doesn’t even feel it’s worth an apology.

If you don’t want to be a woman’s slave, then don’t borrow money from her. It is beneath a woman’s dignity
to respect a man who has to borrow from her.

If you are married, bear in mind that girls would rather flirt with you than a single man. This is especially true if your wife is present, as women like to hurt each other.

In order to impress you, a woman would rather break out with a rash sipping champagne, than enjoy, with no ill affects, a cold glass of beer.

If you take a flirt to your apartment—never leave her alone — because in four minutes she will be through your apartment, reading all your letters and prying into everything.

Remember this about flirts, they will seldom do what you think they will do ... go to bed with you.

Don’t try to be honest with a woman when it comes
to her appearance. Even if she looks below par, tell 
her how nice she looks. Otherwise, she’ll get mad.

Women put position ahead of everything. They’d rather flirt with men who are socially prominent or rich. Give a gal a choice of riding in a Cadillac or a cheap car and she’ll always take the Caddy.

Men shouldn’t ogle other girls — at least when on a date.

Try to understand that all women take a long time to dress and get ready for a date.

If you want to give a girl a gift, you can never go wrong by buying her a bottle of perfume.

If you’re ugly, buy a Cadillac

Many women switch brands of cigarettes as their love life changes. If your girl suddenly begins to smoke the same kind of cigarettes as your rival, watch out!

Women will marry a guy if they like the shape of his nose, the color of his moustache, the way he walks or just the fact he has white teeth. `

If you loan a girl money, consider it a gift.

Some women treat love as an investment They spread their favors among bankers, lawyers, doctors, dentists etc., and try to get free professional services.

Women often read a good book and fall in love with the author.

Always give your girl a big build-up in public. She’ll love you for it.

The Costco hot dog was introduced in 1984, one year after Costco's opened in 1983. The original hot dog was made by Hebrew National, and was sold at a hot dog cart outside a Costco location in San Diego. Raymond "Skip" Henderson

 By Bruce Shawkey I met Raymond "Skip" Henderson about 1986. He was (and is) a watch collector. He lives in New Orleans, and scours the antique shops along Royal Avenue in search of treasures. He also combs the local garage sales and flea markets. One time, he found an old lamp and lampshade. He inquired as to its origin. He was told the shade was made from human skin and was an artifact of the Nazi persecution of the Jews. It was $35, and Skip decided to buy it.  He held on to it for about a year and then decided to get rid of it. Said Skip, "I mean, you take it out of the box, man, people do not want to be in the same room as this thing." Skip sent the shade to a friend in Brooklyn, Mark Jacobson, who writes for New York magazine. Jacobson paid $6,000 to have it tested at a leading genetics laboratory. Life Lessons Often Learned Too Late

By Bruce Shawkey Ran across this thought-provoking article on the Bored Panda website about life lessons often learned too late.  Be careful of who you vent to at work. Just because they listen or show some empathy, it doesn't mean that they're your friend or have your best interests at heart. OK, I'm retired, so this really doesn't apply to me at this juncture of my life. But I get it. Many is the time I've vented to a co-worker, and it's come back to bite me in the ass. Working harder than everyone else only means the boss will load you down with even more work. Again, I'm retired, but I can related as a former salaried employee. As the one with no kids, I was the one who was always asked (and expected) to stay late to meet a deadline (or whatever) while the co-workers with kids got to go home on time or even early.
